A: A Muslim is commanded to be cautious and follow the instructions that guard them from evil. Allah (Exalted be He) says: O you who believe! Take your precautions There is nothing wrong with following the useful and guarding means, such as using gas masks and other preventions or carrying weapons to resist any attacker or to kill a serpent or scorpion during Salah (prayer) or any other time to ward off their evil.
One is ordered to take the useful means. Allah (Exalted be He) says: And make ready against them all you can of power Allah (Exalted be He) also says: O you who believe! Take your precautions Likewise, in the Ayah (Qur'anic verse) concerning SalatulKhawf (Prayer in times of fear), Allah orders Muslims to be ready with weapons: When you (O Messenger Muhammad ﺻﻠﻰ ﺍﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺳﻠﻢ) are among them, and lead them in AsSalât (the prayer), let one party of them stand up [in Salât (prayer)] with you taking their arms with them [Surah (Qur'anic chapter) AlNisa']
