Q: Regarding the Ayah (Qur'anic verse): His is the highest description (i.e. none has the right to be worshipped but He, and there is nothing comparable unto Him) in the heavens and in the earth. , does the word AlMathal mean a similar?
A: The word AlMathal in this Ayah refers to the highest description regarding all different aspects. The Ayah thus states that Allah (Glorified be He) has the Absolute Perfection regarding all His Supreme Attributes. He (Glorified be He) states: There is nothing like Him; and He is the AllHearer, the AllSeer. Allah (Glorified be He) also says: Say (O Muhammad ﺻﻠﻰ ﺍﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺳﻠﻢ): "He is Allâh, (the) One. "AllâhusSamad (ﺍﻟﺴﻴﺪ ﺍﻟﺬﻱ ﻳﺼﻤﺪ ﺇﻟﻴﻪ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﺤﺎﺟﺎﺕ) [Allâh the SelfSufficient Master, Whom all creatures need, (He neither eats nor drinks)]. "He begets not, nor was He begotten. "And there is none coequal or comparable unto Him." May Allah grant us success!
