Salih (peace be upon him) demonstrated that Allah is the Lord of the 'Alamîn (worlds) Who gave them such favors. Thus, they should have repented to Allah and believed His Messenger Salih and obeyed him, rather than obeying AlMusrifûn who did mischief on earth. Nevertheless, they did not heed his advice or guidance and continued their arrogance, deviation, and Kufr (disbelief) persistently until Allah eventually overtook them with AsSaîhah (torment awful cry) and earthquake. We ask Allah to grant us safety.
Furthermore, He (Glorified and Exalted be He) mentions that Ibrahim (peace be upon him) described some of Allah's Attributes to his people to urge them to repent to Allah and worship and glorify Him. For example, in Surah AlShu`ra', He (Glorified and Exalted be He) says:
And recite to them the story of Ibrâhîm (Abraham). When he said to his father and his people: "What do you worship?" They said: "We worship idols, and to them we are ever devoted." He said: "Do they hear you, when you call on (them)? Or do they benefit you or do they harm (you)?"
